Günün Albümü: "In Between"

İsveçli trompetçi Erik Palmberg 2018'de yayınladığı ve caz geleneğine taze bakış açısı sunduğu ilk albümü "First Lines"dan üç yıl sonra yeni albümü "In Between"i 3 Kasımda Naxos Records etiketiyle yayınladı.

İsveç müziğinde yaygın hissedilen müzikal mutluluk ve sakinlik bu albümün konseptine oldukça güzel yedirilmiş. Lirizmin iliklere kadar işlendiği olgun, zarif ve uyumlu bir albüm olan "In Between" hakkında Palmberg albümün tanıtım notlarında şu sözleri kullanıyor; "Stüdyoda çok rahat bir atmosfere sahiptik ve her müzisyen kendi düşünce ve fikirlerini katkıda bulunma özgürlüğüne sahipti." Özgürlük, özgünlüğün kapılarını açan en önemli anahtarlardan biri. Grup içinde doğru bir etkileşim ve katılımcı bir üretim alanı sağlanabildiğinde kayıt günü çok daha verimli ve içten bir albüm kaydı alınabiliyor. Swedish virtuoso trumpet player Erik Palmberg released his new album “In Between” on November 3th, via Prophone / Naxos Records label, 3 years after the release of his acclaimed debut album First Lines, which he released in 2018 and offers a fresh perspective on the jazz tradition.

Musical happiness and calmness, which are commonly felt in Swedish music, are very well blended into the concept integrity of this album. About “In Between”, a mature, graceful and harmonious album record with deep-seated lyricism, Palmberg writes some critic notes about the album in promotional notes, "We had a very relaxed atmosphere in the studio, and each musician had the freedom to contribute his own thoughts and ideas." Freedom is one of the most important keys that open the doors of originality and genuineness. When the right interaction and a participatory production area can be provided within the group, a much more efficient and sincere album recording can be taken on the recording day. Beside i had seen that trumpet legend Randy Brecker has listened to this new album and responded "Very nice, Enjoyed that immensely" Enjoyment is a good reference for a music lover.

The European roots of the musicians and the music performed by the European musicians who remain in their memories push them to the European music form they perform with a wider range of notes. On the other hand, in Palmberg, “the leader of the band”, there is a side that imitates the ferocious tones of Miles and Freddie Hubbard, the masters of the jazz tradition, to whom he is passionately attached. "In Between" is a beautiful album (Like its name refers to)consisting of 10 original compositions of the European music and American jazz tradition rooted music, which were masterfully recorded by skillful European musicians.
