51. Grammy’ler sahiplerini buldu. "En İyi Caz Albümü" kategorisine iki yıldır Brecker ailesi ipotek koymuş durumda. 2007 yılında ölen ünlü Michael Brecker’da bir önceki Grammy’i ölmeden son albümü "Pilgrimage" ile kazanmıştı. Biz Randy Brecker’ın ismini öne çıkardık ama diğer albümlerin de hakkını yemeyelim elbette fakat son 2 yıla önce abisi Michael Brecker, bir yıl sonrada kendisi Randy’nin ödüle abone olduklarını unutmayın. Yılın albümü "Randy in Brasil" ile ilgili albüm tanıtımını yeni CD’ler kısmımızda bulabilirsiniz.

En İyi Kadın Caz Vokali dalında Cassandra Wilson’ı kesinlikle tahmin ediyorduk! En İyi Enstrümantal Solo dalında kazanan (Terence Blanchard (Live at the 2007 Monterey Jazz Festival) parçadan öte o parçanın da içinde bulunduğu albüm yayınlandığı günden bu yana çok ses getirdi. Diğer adaylıklarda da Chick Corea & Gary Burton (The New Crystal Silence), The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra (Monday Night Live At The Village Vanguard), Arturo O’Farrill (Song For Chico)... tüm bu albümlere bakarsanız fazla sürpriz yok, bekleniyordu demek yanlış olmaz.
