1990'ların en iyi caz albümleri? Ama nasıl?

Amerikalıların bu yıl 50. yaşını kutlayan ünlü caz dergisi JazzTimes kutlamalara okurları dahil eden etkinlikler düzenliyor. Bu etkinliklerin biri seriye dönüşmüş durumda. Her on yıla dair o on yılın en iyi albümleri oylaması yapan dergi belirlediği iki yüze yakın albüm içinden seçilenleri daha sonra dosya halinde dergide yayınlıyor.

 

Tam bu noktada biz de dedik ki, JazzTimes okurları seçimini yapsın ama biz o seçilenler yerine geniş listeye odaklanalım ve kendimize kapsamlı bir keşif alanı oluşturalım. Dergi yazarlarının belirlediği geniş listede yer alan albümlerin hepsi biz cazseverler için değerli ve bir çoğu da bilmediğimiz, sonradan keşfettiğimiz albümler, bu sebeple, listenin tamamını sizin değerlendirmenize sunmak üzere aşağıda yayınlıyoruz.

 

1990'larda hangi albümler yayınlanmıştı?

 

Cazseverlerin geneli caz tarihine takılıp kalır, biz bu yaklaşımı sorunlu buluyoruz, tamam, eskiye odaklanalım ama yeniyi de takip edip destekleyelim, üstelik, sözünü ettiğimiz bu dönemler de artık eskide kaldı. Çoğu cazsever 1960'ları iyi bilir ama 1970'leri bilmez, 1980'leri takip etmemiştir, 1990'lar gözden kaçmıştır. JazzTimes dergisinin kendi oylaması için hazırladığı liste bu anlamda bize hazır bir keşif imkanı sunuyor.
